Hi

At first I will thank the different users having help me yesterday at the IRC channel as I did install at the first time above ISO.

As it was wrong (I would had prefer a 32 bit installation) I did try to reinstall the 32 bit version. It seem to be impossible now, only one kilometer of error messages, I did reinstall the 64 bit version with above ISO (not with the -RC dual one!).

As it was not possible yesterday to actualize the more 500 deprecated packages that the system did detect, I did today proceed differently: I did immediately try to install more, that what I really prefer to use daily compared with the choice offered in the distro, it it:

- midori
- xfce4
- tea

but did meet great difficulties. the installation seems to have done nothing (about like yesterday the actualization claimed by the system).

as Arch Linux is for me a completely new approach of Linux, I don't understand my errors.

at the bottom, I have copied the messages in the console for the 3 installations:

(8/8) checking keys in keyring [######################] 100%
downloading required keys...
error: key "7258734B41C31549" could not be looked up remotely
error: key "3B94A80E50A477C7" could not be looked up remotely
error: required key missing from keyring
error: failed to commit transaction (unexpected error)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

what did I do wrong?

i looks like your keyring is not up-to-date

# pacman -Sy archlinux-keyring parabola-keyring

its pacman package signature verivication problem, there is many tutorial on the web on how to fix that.

alternatively you can disable sig verivication temporarily for initial installation and continue to resolve it later like this:

Hi Telur,

Thank you for the link but I never use Google Search ; I did try with my usual search engine ( lilo.org ) with the search goal «arch linux user ignore signature check when doing» and did meet this page or better book https://archlinux.org/pacman/pacman.conf.5.html , and https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=154056 , as well as and I am bit disappointed as I did do nothing: The system is absolutely new installed on a fresh formate partition and I did do nothing other before that. I assume that the ISO proposed by parabola is no to old to continue to be used so as it is (I did more that hundred time Linux, never from the arch family, ok, but I did never meet such difficulties and need to learn immediately such an among of knew things being of so minimal interest for myself as human user.

Probably it would be better to try to install step by step as to use an ISO not being completely fresh (up to date) and complete and need after that tricks to better that what now wrong is in the ISO?
