Will Parabola GNU/Linux always have the 32 bit release?

Piriponzolo - about 2 years ago -

Hi!
I'm a novice here. A question: I usually use the i686 release of Trisquel GNU/Linux 9 Mini, but starting Trisquel 10, there will be no i686 release in the future. I would like to know, will Parabola GNU/Linux always have the 32 bit release for an old HP510 notebook of the year 2006-2007? Thanks for the attention!

the short answer is, parabola will have a 32bit port for as long
as arch32 exists, or for as long as the "libreboot-compatible"
32bit lenovo thinkpads are considered to be high-priority
libre-friendly computers (eg: as long parabola users want to use
those, or for as long as the "libre-only" shops keep selling
them, such as vikings, thinkpenguin) - there is one parabola dev
who uses one regularly, and watches for problems

Are ThinkPad T400, X200 and X220 (etc) 32-bit computers? If so, then it makes sense indeed to keep maintaining the 32-bit version.

those models are not - there is a wiki section tracking support for each high-priority computer
