Proposal of fusion of Firefox forks for Trisquel and Parabola
I've seen that the update process of Iceweasel web browser is much more slow than former years, and every time that Firefox source code gets updated in the release branch, it's much more difficult to get paired to the latest version of Firefox due to the dependences.
However, I propose to make a collab between Trisquel and Parabola staff about how to pair their respectives Firefox forks (Iceweasel and ABrowser) with the master version of Firefox, without have any issues of dependences on the way.
If this collaboration results to be good, it would result into the proposal of ABrowser or Iceweasel into the endorsment of GNUZilla Project.
The post that I did in spanish is here:
its a great idea - oaken-source suggested it about a year ago,
and i agreed that was the best way forward for all FSDG distros
that currently maintain these nearly identical mozilla browsers
independently - i discussed it with the maintainer of
trisquel/icecat/abrowser and he liked the idea
it took some time; but just recently, some new developers have
joined gnuzilla, and has there begun some real cross-distro
collaboration on the gnuzilla-dev list

it's been a year already? time flies..
but yes. I agree that this is a discussion that needs to happen over at gnuzilla. I am guilty of not participating as regularly as I should.
