to give credit where it is due, 'pribib' and 'LucidEagle' were most influential in starting this web forum experiment - they have agreed to be parabola's community liaisons and curators of culture, and they will be the forum moderators

Hi, I'd like to also say thank you very much to the Parabola team for this new forum, and to those who are maintaining and moderating it.

I logged into the Parabola site last week for the first time in a few months and the forum was a very welcome surprise. Hopefully, it will provide a good focal point to further build the Parabola community and help new users who are interested in adopting the platform :-)

pribib as I said in my previous post, I think the new forum is awesome and will really help to encourage user engagement with the project. One suggestion I have though is that it would be great to have a 'feed' somewhere that shows the most recent posts. I don't know how feasible it is, but it would help make sure posts don't get lost or ignored, as there are quite a few subforums.

yea - almost everything on redmine has a feed - you can
subscribe to anything that has an "activities" tab - at the
bottom of the page you will see "Also available in: Atom"

pribib Ok, that's good to know, thanks. Although, I think it would be great if the forum feed was displayed somewhere more visible on the site, e.g. the Parabola home page or the 'Forum' front page.

the forum front page actually does not exist - it would be the
"overview" tab; but i have that disabled and redirecting to
the boards list - if anyone want to make a snazzy landing page,
it is on the TODO list
