Issue with X11/glamoregl on armv7 Chromebook
Time4Tea - almost 4 years ago -
Hi, I seem to be having a problem with X11 on my Chromebook C201 Parabola system.
I was playing around a bit with some of the X11 drivers yesterday, which included updating mesa. Now, lightdm won't load up properly and I am seeing the following in my /var/log/Xorg.0.log

It seems that glamoregl is failing for some reason ('couldn't get display device'?). Any ideas how I can fix this? I have tried re-installing mesa
, xorg-server
, libglvnd
.

I rolled back mesa and now it works again.
If you have an armv7 Chromebook: mesa 20.0.4-2 is no-bueno. Go back to 20.0.4-1.
I'll post a report upstream to ALARM.
