several programs hanging and crashing GNOME

EDIT2: problem doesn't happen with linux-libre-lts

I thought it was just Iceweasel, but Emacs is doing the same thing. They are hanging and sometimes crashing the GNOME session.

Epiphany works well.

This started happening after a package upgrade -> log-pacman.txt (interesting: mesa, linux-libre, some xorg stuff)

Found out dmesg lines regarding GPU hang, i915
