Redmine Packages - Packaging Request #1152 (not-a-bug): [doomsday] add package to PCRhttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/11522016-12-10T13:05:13Zpizzaiolo

Doomsday is a libre game, a clone of Doom.

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/doomsday/
Packages - Bug #1125 (not-a-bug): Iceweasel does not allow adding searx.me as a search enginehttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/11252016-10-22T00:52:33Zpizzaiolo

Copying someone else's description of the bug, which matches mine:

So I am running iceweasel (libre/iceweasel-1:49.0.deb4-2) and the default search engine is set to searx.laquadrature.net. However, I would like to instead use searx.me as it is nicer to use.

When I try to install a search plugin for it via addons.mozilla.org however, I get the following error: 'Iceweasel could not install the search plugin from “https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/searx-0-9-0/addon-713044-latest.xml?src=ss” because an engine with the same name already exists.'

Similarly, if I delete the search engine from 'One-click search engines' and visit searx.me, then use the search bar dropdown box to 'Add searx' I get the error: 'Iceweasel could not install the search plugin from “https://searx.me/opensearch.xml” because an engine with the same name already exists.'

I would presume both of these errors could be resolved by deleting the default search engine configuration in the profile directory but I can't find anywhere where it would be listed.

Surprisingly, this one isn't in the repos.
Link: http://mirrors.antergos.com/antergos/x86_64/

There are some obvious offenders there like dropbox, chromium-pepper-flash, b43-firmware and broadcom-wl. There may be more, but I'm not certain.

I kindly ask that you do not blacklist antergos-specific packages such as cnchi, grub2-theme-antergos or lightdm-webkit2-greeter, since they are already being taken care of at #844, #980 and #981
Packages - Packaging Request #991 (not-a-bug): [uebergame] add package to PCRhttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/9912016-04-19T23:55:34Zpizzaiolo

Antergos by default uses this custom grub2 theme, which should be rebranded. This is particularly useful for users who migrate from Antergos to Parabola, making the transition seamless.

The codebase is at: https://github.com/Antergos/grub2-theme-antergos
Branding - Bug #980 (not-a-bug): [lightdm-webkit2-greeter] add package to PCRhttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/9802016-04-11T20:53:21Zpizzaiolo

Antergos maintains their own lightdm greeter at: https://github.com/Antergos/lightdm-webkit2-greeter

Many of us migrate from Antergos to Parabola, so it's important that default Antergos packages don't clash with Parabola packages :)
Packages - Packaging Request #978 (fixed): [freedoom] add package to PCRhttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/9782016-04-10T22:22:01Zpizzaiolo

Freedoom is a fully libre game, including artwork. See it's Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedoom

Here's the AUR package for it: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/freedoom1/
Packages - Packaging Request #977 (fixed): [odamex] add package to PCRhttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/9772016-04-10T22:19:21Zpizzaiolo

Odamex is a free client/server multiplayer engine for the classic FPS Doom. It works together with Freedoom, and is fully free, without nonfree artwork.
Installation Media - Packaging Request #964 (not-a-bug): Add pacman2pacman by default in all inst...https://labs.parabola.nu/issues/9642016-03-12T02:00:53Zpizzaiolo

Widespread usage of pacman2pacman would greatly reduce the load on our tiny number of mirrors. IMO it should be bundled by default with all our distro variants.
Packages - Packaging Request #938 (in progress): [shepherd] add package for PCRhttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/9382016-02-21T18:03:50Zpizzaiolo

GNU Shepherd (previously known as dmd) is the init system used by the Hurd and GuixSD. It is an alternative to systemd, and would be interesting to have on Parabola.

GNU Guix is a GNU package and an excellent package manager that provides reproducible builds, rollbacks and other nice things. I would be great to have it on Parabola.
Packages - Packaging Request #915 (fixed): [qtile] add package for PCRhttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/9152016-01-14T12:57:29Zpizzaiolo
