Suppose I have a file open in kate editor named file.py and an iceweasel instance running. If I forget to check the battery prompt and it suspends the session or shuts down, then the whole system files associated with file.py, kate files and iceweasel get corrupted. While restart there's a fs manual cleaning prompt and it forces to clear these files.

One time, I had to clear the site I had worked on and rework code for almost a day.

Point : Parabola is like a high maintenance girl wrt shutting down correctly. One wrong thing you say and immediate penalty. If you do anything wrong in that respect, the files get corrupted and they need to be removed.

Request : Please make parabola more stable wrt this. All (shutdown, suspend, poweroff) scripts (including display manager) should have the old state of files saved, close running processes safely and then shutdown.

P.S. Very 1st time I did fsck, I literally wiped off my whole system. Was glad I had backup of my data.
Packages - Bug #2897 (not-a-bug): Plasma Panel icons doesn't load and desktophttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/28972020-09-17T06:22:12Zinfinite_recursion

I develop a website on parabola using kate as editor, konsole in kate itself and iceweasel. I edit files and test them with iceweasel. Recently, I find that Iceweasel doesn't update the files. Possibly it keeps a cache of the files or doesn't clear the memory. I killed the iceweasel process and then restarted it but still the memory remains.

I get the older styles.css rendered rather than the new updated styles.css even if I start a new iceweasel process.

I used "curl path" and it shows the correct updated styles.css . If I wait for a few minutes after killing the process, I get the updated styles.css .

Please help. Waiting 5-10 mins for minor changes in code is very difficult to handle.
Packages - Bug #2833 (unconfirmed): [linux-libre-lts][linux-libre-hardened]: can not be installed...https://labs.parabola.nu/issues/28332020-07-11T06:50:36Zinfinite_recursion

I have 3 kernels installed, linux-libre, linux-libre-hardened, and linux-libre-lts. Ideally, I would use lts for everything but it is not detected. Also, it depends on which kernel is last installed. If I have linux-libre-lts installed last, it will not have initramfs. Grub detects only n-1 entries.

Currently, at grub, it shows me 2 initramfs, 3 kernel entries of which if I choose to go ahead with the one which doesn't display initramfs, it doesn't boot properly.

It doesn't affect me at all today but it's a bug.
Packages - Bug #2815 (unconfirmed): Package python-magic lacks a main featurehttps://labs.parabola.nu/issues/28152020-06-22T08:42:33Zinfinite_recursion
