edit: I just found out as I was shutting down the system that the mate panel is the cause... but removing it, removes the graphical options altogether...

It may be the permission problem but I wondered if there is a fix?

When i log in, and boot into the live mate ver with my account and everything,
caja has this bizzare error which says something about a ./config error.

and then, it proceeds to freeze the menu bars top and bottom from anything being done other than what is already open.

its kind of hard to explain, but it is a very weird error. the menu bars just don't work after a certian point.

it may have to do with time, not sure.

Anyone know the command for updating time to the latest well... time online?

edit: I noticed that it resists any change to what default programs do. bizarre but yes it is happening... so if i want to disable thumbnailers or not have logs kept it will the moment the system is restarted, go back to its last known preformance... it is strange though.
