generally, distros do not carry programs with duplicate functionality unless there are clear advantages over the existing program; in which case the existing program is often replaced entirely with the new one - there are few exceptions such a web browsers but the rational is always that there are some distinct features that one provides that the other does not AND vice-versa - there was no reason given as to why this program should be included - just because "it's another fork" is not of itself a good reason - so i would ask if there are any features that this program has that zenity does not - if so, then it may be worth considering if this program should replace zenity entirely or if it would be an alternate "provider" of the 'zenity' subset functinoality - if not, then please realize that every new package parabola carries is one more that must be maintained; which reduce the amount of tme that can be spent on the more unique and important packages

i did not look too closely but this project appears to have no website - the entire description on the sf project page is "YAD (yet another dialog) is a tool for create graphical dialogs from shell scripts" - the only advantage i see of possible interest to parabola is that this project is GPL where zenity is LGPL - otherwise it sure seems like there is (by their own words) nothing special about it
