Description
While setting up the build server, I've been seeing nshd lockups.
The logs weren't verbose enough to make debugging it easy. So I improved logging. We'll see if it happens again.
I improved the timeout logic while I was at it; maybe that fixed it.

Haven't seen the issue again. If it does happen again, parabola-hackers-nshd-20171221 has adequate logging to have a better bug report.
