Description

Hello,

I followed the guide https://wiki.parabola.nu/OpenRC to migrate to OpenRC. I tried to run emacs, as usual, and I get this:

emacs: error while loading shared libraries: libsystemd.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

This was solved by installing missing packages: https://labs.parabola.nu/issues/2025

Don't uninstall systemd-libsystemd. If you install it, emacs should work again.

Don't use pacman -Rdd commands (which you presumably used to remove it) unless you really know what you're doing. (It was foolish of the author of the OpenRC article to recommend that; I've removed that section.)

Pacman's -dd should be renamed to --ignore-all-dependencies-even-though-it-might-break-my-system.
