[liferea]: Scrolling down on Slashdot and likeminded news containing scrollboxes has badly developed behaviour

Description
Running Parabola x86_64 GNU/Linux-libre OS.
Liferea has one feed from Slashdot on my computer and when I scroll down in the reader and want to read like a flow of scrolling, it suddenly halts the scrolling when the cursor hits a scrollbox (which is contained within each news post with comments in).
This is very tedious and it is just not meant to be this way according to a plan, I can tell that much.

What you describe is expected behaviour. Cursor inside a scroll box should scroll the scroll box.
This also does not seem to be a Parabola related "issue" but rather something to take up with the creators of liferea.

I agree with freemor. liferea is not even packaged by parabola, it comes from arch.
If the behaviour bothers you, you need to take this issue to upstream, and try to get in touch with them, for example through here:
