Description
For the past number of weeks, I've been seeing messages of this form irrespective of the package being updated.
error: failed retrieving <package> from redirector.parabola.nu : Resolving timed out after 10000 milliseconds
and on occasion the following:
error: failed retrieving <package> from redirector.parabola.nu : Maximum (10) redirects followed
The packages in question still get updated (but just take a little longer) so not sure if this is a bug with this server or not but reporting it nonetheless. Thanks for your time.

that usually means that one of the servers was not responding at
the time - its usually nothing to worry about - thats why the
default mirrorlist has the redirector multiple times, so that it
will try another server

Thanks Bill. I thought that may be the case but wanted to bring it to people's attention as it has only started to happen very recently. Feel free to close this issue.
