Description

  • steps to reproduce:
    1) # pacman -Syu
    2) Allow glib2 upgrade 2.68.4-1 => 2.70.0-1
    3) $ evolution
  • expected result:
    I expect evolution to open and access the account login secrets stored in the gnome-keyring "login" key ring.
  • actual result:
    Instead, evolution fails to connect to and access the key ring, and is therefore unable to access the stored accounts. It can't even see the key ring.
  • second example
    3) $ seahorse
  • expected result:
    I expect seahorse to display the "Passwords" category populated with key rings.
  • actual result:
    No "Password" category is displayed and no key rings are listed. Confirmed that key ring files do exist.
  • temporary fix
    Downgrading glib2 2.70.0-1 => 2.68.4-1 fixes the problem. evolution and seahorse work as expected.
