Description

This package is in the AUR and is very popular.
It is also meant to be a libre replacement for a proprietary tool which is very popular on Losedows, which may help ease the switch over to GNU for some users.

Potential freedom issues:
- No license in the following dirs:
-- https://github.com/X0rg/CPU-X/tree/master/data/logos
- Containers for nonlibre distros:
(AFAICT these are not included in the final package)

Potential technical issue:
- Vendored library:
- Vendored and heavily modified library:

Its dependencies are all in the repos and the PKGBUILD looks okay from a quick glance.

This announcement (https://github.com/X0rg/CPU-X/wiki/future-of-project) explains the project is feature-complete and will only see minor maintenance like bug fixes.
This could be a double-edged sword: it might require minimal maintenance for a long time, but eventually its dependencies will be deprecated and it will have to be updated.
For instance, its GUI mode uses GTK3, but GTK4 is the latest version, so it will need to be ported to GTK4 when GTK3 is deprecated.
