[parabolaweb] Enabling template caching breaks things

Description
On the live site, enabling template caching (django.template.loaders.cached.Loader)causes some pages to 500 error, notably /sitemap.xml and /admin. This does not occur in my test install.

Note: In the current version, the caching is enabled if not TEMPLATE_DEBUG, were TEMPLATE_DEBUG is currently set = True in local_settings.py.
