Antergos maintains a very good install wizard called Cnchi, which could be used by Parabola: https://github.com/Antergos/Cnchi

Note: the installer recommends nonfree software, which is something that needs to be changed.

Is the porting of this tool being done in the open? I'd like to suggest features, participate in the development process.

I pushed it to abslibre [0]. It needs developing yet, since po files weren't translated against our latest modifications, also we need rebrand all icons that contains Antergos stuff and re-adapt bootloader.py because our grub is very different than Antergos.

Redid the patch from scratch; Gaming4JC is working on the artwork. The grub bit probably could use your help, Emulatorman.

Meanwhile Gaming4JC is working on artwork, Shackra could do our logotype for it though

I made the slides a few weeks ago based on existing Parabola artwork. Let me know if you need more graphics done.

The slides attached here, do they have any use for issue #980? I ask because https://bitbucket.org/shackra/lightdm-webkit2-greeter/src/3ecc4e291ce61ab8990e1619f7af8ca518c5ade2/themes/parabola/img/?at=master have three images called "screenshot1.jpg", "screenshot2.jpg", "screenshot3.jpg".

regarding the slides: unless the greeter features a slide-show then clearly it would need only one graphic so it is not clear what the original intention of them was - they are nice graphics though and could be used in other places such as the slide-show of a graphical installer or a fancy modern-styled website landing page

regarding the 'cnchi' installer: the 2017 graphical ISOs include the calamares graphical installer which works quite well aside from it's current lack or openRC support - it may be worth a comparison but calamares seems to be better supported and does not require any FSDG patches

calamares now has openrc support - that seems like the best way forward now
