Although Rhythmbox does not associate wav files by default, for some reason, until recently it was able to play them, without any issues. But not anymore. Now it only see the wav tracks, find and add them in its music library can not play them at all (eventually even freezes of shutdowns incorrectly aka the rhythmbox process does not end)
