I installed tried to install texlive-core with: sudo pacman -S texlive-core.

To clarify, but it failed to install. From what I understand, the script in /usr/share/libalpm/scripts/mktexlsr mktexlsr calls mktexlsr, which doesn't exist so it fails to generate some files. Then pdflatex complains that it can't find pdflatex.fmt.

I have attached the binary /usr/bin/mktexlsr. It doesn't exist on my computer. logs from pacman
