Issue with Wireless Support for Thinkpad X60S

I am trying to install parabola on my Thinkpad X60S. Wifi networks are not showing up on the laptop.

The adapter that my laptop has according to thinkwiki is the intel Wireless 3945 Mini-PCI Express Adapter.

Also, it says the driver for this adapter is iwlwifi and also iwl3945 I think.

Basically, am I able to use wifi on my laptop? Can anyone confirm?

to use that wifi with linux-libre, you will need to replace the internal "Mini-PCI Express" card, or use a USB wifi thingy
