Description

Hi everyone,

I just read the news about the planned deprecation of i686 architecture by Arch Linux. This sounds absolutely sinister to me as I own a thinkpad X60s with Libreboot. To be honest, I never imagined such bad news would ever come out.

Will Parabola be affected as well? I dread to think to what may be the answer as much as I'm looking forward to hearing some news!

I have been an early follower of Slackware for years before discovering Libreboot and Parabola. Since then, I would say that I found by far the best way to do my computing. I sincerely hope that this will not end.

With many thanks for your outstanding work,

Robert

Thanks for your compliments and interest Robert. Discussion has mostly occurred on the mailing list. It's too early to give a definitive answer, but there's a big chance Parabola will continue to support i686 after Arch deprecates it.

That's a relief already. Thanks for pointing me to the mailing list which I just subscribed to.
