Description

I get this in the terminal when launching electrum:

[ecc] warning: libsecp256k1 library not available, falling back to python-ecdsa
Error: Could not import PyQt5 on Linux systems, you may try 'sudo apt-get install python3-pyqt5'

Have you followed the information given there and installed either of the suggested things?
but yes, it looks line libsecp256k1 should be added as a depends. and python-pyqt5

I already have python-pyqt5 installed. I installed the other one and that got rid of the first error message only.

Looking at the PKGBUILD it does indeed depend on python-qt5

.. And it fails even with python-pyqt5 installed.

This is a community package so can you please report the bug upstream to https://bugs.archlinux.org

Please be more thorough reporting it there.
make sure python-qt5 in installed.
make sure it still fails the same.

Then report it upstream noting that python-qt5 is indeed installed
The version of the electrum package you are using.
The terminal output

They said just recently that I should stop doing it.

python-pyqt5 was updated, you can try now.
