the package comes from arch and was just upgraded a few hours ago - pacman wont be able to install it until the next sync - if you need this package today, get it from one of the parabola mirrors or from the website https://www.parabola.nu/packages/core/x86_64/libevent/

scratch that - this happens too often - i have switched the redirector to always redirect to a parabola mirror - that should eliminate this class of bug report permanently
`pacman -Syu` will work as expected now
