confirmed:

$ blender
blender: error while loading shared libraries: libOpenImageIO.so.1.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

$ pacman -Ss blender
libre/blender 17:2.79.b.git7.054dbb83-2.parabola1

there are other open tickets for blender rebuild that i tied to this one - #1978 was left open because of a problem building on i686; and #2374 was left open because of a problem building on ARM

#2135 may also be of interest -blender initially had trouble with ARM then also; but IIRC that was the last time it build successfully for ARM

v2.80 for x86_64 is in the repos now but i686 and ARM both have problems still

the latest releases of the usual culprits broke x86_64

libglvnd-1.3.0-1
openvdb-7.0.0-1

$ blender
blender: error while loading shared libraries: libopenvdb.so.6.2:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
