Audacity had something going on that stirred up some trouble, because it was bought by some company that supposedly added spyware to it.
This led to forks of audacity such as tenacity and sneedacity to be developed, which apparently removed the newly added spyware "features".
I don't know the details and can't confirm anything, but it should be investigated and if true, audacity should be put on the your-privacy blacklist.

Ideally, it would be good to package tenacity into the parabola repos as well, because it's not in the main arch repos.
The sneedacity project seems dead and not maintained/updated anymore.
