Description

Since the last commit of Icecat, the download source was changed to
the server https://repo.parabola.nu
(I don't like this for simplicity and clarity as written in Iceweasel in the past),
and for me, the main source tar icecat-38.6.0-gnu1.tar.bz2
seems very different from one in ftp.gnu.org (and jenkins.trisquel.info).
What is this intension?

I pushed source tarball to repo since sometimes it isn't available to be used again from jenkins site, and it was repackaged by librefetch.
Otherwise, the latest version has been moved to ftp.gnu.org, then i'll release a new revision of IceCat package for Parabola rebuilt with the tarball from the main one.

Thank you for your response and commit. Please clarify bit more.

I am not familiar with librefetch but why tar-balls are different so much?
Both are the same version 38.6.0-gnu1.tar.bz2, so I believe they should be exactly same.

What happened before you upload to repo.parabola.nu after you downloaded from ftp.gnu.org (or jenkins.trisquel.info, whichever)??

Independent if librefetch was used to upload the tarball, you mean that tarballs are different so much, now my question is: are you comparing tarballs when it was from jenkins.trisquel.info and the current one from ftp.gnu.org? Note that jenkins.trisquel.info is similar than sid for Debian like does with Iceweasel. Also, there are a lot different tarballs with the same version everytime there (eg. Tuesday they release it with a different size than Sunday because was implemented some features, fixes, etc.) since jenkins.trisquel.info is an automated testing system.

For librefetch functionality see its man file for more info.

Sorry for the reply in late.

The sha256sums of the tarball, icecat-38.6.0-gnu1.tar.bz2, from both jenkins.trisquel.info and ftp.gnu.org
are exactly same: 9d0e10005c28d130d262176280656dc3cf374717723bd715d3d6a3cc5999a42d

but one in repo.parabola.nu is as in PKGBUILD:
1f58676fc0bdf60dc37145b8c97f507f0acec9bc84582aeef703cf0ed9744ed3

Here, the diff is attached.
