Description

I have burned the iso onto a usb with dd and I can't get to step 4 in the graphical install.

strangely enough, the keys and the date don't work properly, the date I can fix on my own, its the keys that do not work properly or something of that sort, I have tried many times, but no matter what I do,

The configure parabola (step 4 in graphical mode of mate) doesn't work it keeps wanting me to start back from scratch it seems like.

is there anything i can do to fix this?

I couldn't replicate this bug when I tested Parabola Mate 2016.1.11. In fact I could complete the installation process. However I noticed that this ISO is using an outdated pacman-mirrorlist, and as explained in [1] the previous default mirror:

http://parabolagnulinux.mirrors.linux.ro/$repo@/os/$arch

is quite outdated. In fact its packages are a bit older than those included in the ISO, which is why users reported that pacman was downgrading packages. I recommend you comment out or delete that mirror from /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist every time you boot this live image; but this is not related to the ncurses installer issue. Here I recommend you try restarting the installer from step 1 and reformatting partitions with gparted to avoid leftovers from the previous failed install.
