Description
The kdenlive video editor offers nonfree audio/video formats such as MP4, WMV, etc. I don't think it should be blacklisted, but a libre replacement without support for such formats would be fine.

I wouldn't like to create a replacement package.
I don't like those formats either; their success stimulates software patents, but we have free software codecs to use them for good or bad. If we patched this program we would have to also patch a bunch of libraries, graphical and command line applications to remain consistent. Also, software patents only exist in some countries.

I think that al least there's should be one video editor without nonfree formats support. And Kdenlive is widely used.
