Description

Can we update the python-pynitrokey package to the latest version (v0.4.40) across all platforms or at the very least update the version on i686 to match that on the other architectures.

python-pynitrokey 0.4.36-2 [community] (armv7h)
python-pynitrokey 0.4.16-3.0 [community] (i686)
python-pynitrokey 0.4.36-2 [community] (x86_64)
python-pynitrokey 0.4.39-1 [extra] (armv7h)
python-pynitrokey 0.4.16-3.0 [extra] (i686)
python-pynitrokey 0.4.39-1 [extra] (x86_64)

you can ignore anything in [community] - they are harmless orphans; and will be deleted soon - they have no effect on anyone's system

all packages in [core] and [extra] come from either arch, arch32, or archarm - arch, arch32, or archarm decide which versions they will be; so those are exactly the versions we want - when arch, arch32, or archarm upgrades python-pynitrokey, parabola gets them automatically

Ok, thanks for the explanation. I presume the [community] repository will then no longer be enabled in /etc/pacman.conf. What about [pcr] its a community repo too, no?

[community] was an arch repo and arch decided to retire it - all of those packages are in [extra] now

[community] is already gone from pacman.conf except for i686; but that is only because pacman will not compile now, due to the broken python environment

[pcr] and [community] are unrelated - [pcr] serves a similar purpose as [community]; but there was never any correspondence among the packages - packages in [pcr] are not available in any of the arch upstreams - the relationships between each parabola repo and each arch upstream repo is explained on the wiki https://wiki.parabola.nu/Repositories#Overview
