[mkinitcpio-paralogo] Causes a Failure in Generating Kernel Image

Description

  • steps to reproduce:
    Install on a systemd setup.
  • expected result:
    Successful kernel image generation, and boot splash/text.
  • actual result:
    Boots correctly, though everytime mkinitcpio is run the paralogo hook reports failure (as if the systemd unit was invoked) and thus mkinitcpio reports failure even though image generation is successful and bootable.

IIRC this package never worked quite right - it was removed many years ago and
i added it back thinking it would be neat - but i never saw it do anything - i
dont remember now what it is supposed to do - i think it should be deleted
again - have you ever seen the result of it working?

It actually works, that is the odd thing.
You get a neat text logo of Parabola at boot, it just is that it "fails" on mkinitcpio.
I mean, I don't mind the way it is now, but someone might install it and get that warning making them think it is broken.
