Description

To increase redundancy other servers could be added so pacman2pacman works when the server "repo" is not working.

Using a separate mirror list can cause package timing issues (e.g. repo has newer packages than other mirrors). Instead, pacman2pacman can read the pacman mirrorlist which is what pacman does by default. If the same mirror list is used, disabling pacman2pacman would result in pacman installing packages mostly synchronized with packages previously fetched by pacman2pacman (like enabling pacman2pacman which would fetch torrents from the same mirror).

But are people actually mirroring the torrent files?

Yes, they have torrents/ (I've just checked them all except parabola.fryxell.info).
