Migration from Arch32 - Invalid or corrupted packages
probiermas - 8 months ago -
Hi,
I'm a new user of Linux in general and Parabola in particular and wanted to install Parabola on my x60s Thinkpad.
Because it seemed easier to me, I first installed Arch32 via archinstall command to install Parabola in the following step.
I followed the "Migration from other distros" guide. In the pacman -U command I replaced "x86_64" with "i686" (Was that correct?)
I followed the steps of the guide till the command "pacman -Suu your-freedom pacman". Afterwards I got several error messages "invalid or corrupted package by Bill Auger"
See photo in Attachment. (I apologize for the bad quality!)
To solve the problem, I tried several times to follow the instructions in the Parabola Community Forum FAQ. Unfortunately without success.
Thanks for Your help!

archlinux-keyring and parabola-keyring should be installed before migrating,
and be sure to use `pacman -Syyuu` afterward

Hi,
thanks for your answer!
After installing the keyring I also disabled the signature verification: SigLevel = Never, although it is not recommended in the migration guide at this stage.
Afterwards 'pacman - Syyuu' command worked. :-)
But I think it wasn't the correct way to solve this kind of problem!?
